The Executive Board of the LTHS PTSA 09/10 invites you to consider taking an active role in any of the following areas.  We welcome your time, your participation and willingness to help the PTSA reach its goals for the 09/10 school year.   
 
MEMBERSHIP - Chair, Lynn Jacobs is responsible for the annual membership drive, maintains membership lists and volunteer lists.

TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION
- Chairs will coordinate our year long effort of recognizing the LTHS staff. In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining the large display window in the Main Hall.

HOSPITALITY
- Deb Candeletti and Anna Abramovitch as well as a team of bakers to supply/present home baked or store bought goodies for events such as Back to School, Sundaes with Santa, Craft Fair, Daddy Daughter Dance, Teacher Appreciation, NHS Induction, Awards Night and other functions as needed throughout the year.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE
- Chair & Co-chairs needed for this fun filled dance for the youngest members of our Lacey School Community.

SUNDAES WITH SANTA
- Chair & Committee Co-Chairs (food, entertainment, vendors, raffles etc) needed for this 2 day hometown favorite tradition. 

PROM BREAKFAST
-
Chair & Co-Chairs (decorations, prizes, food, etc) needed to assist the Lacey Police PBA in this PBA funded annual after prom event.
 
REFLECTIONS - Jill Kramer, Chair will coordinate efforts with teachers and students for this competitive arts & literature competition open to all students. Co-Chair is needed.
 
CRAFT FAIR - Chair & Co-Chairs needed to coordinate one of the biggest craft fairs in this area. Many hands needed to assist with set-up, vendors, kitchen, raffles and many other activities.
 
SCHOLARSHIPS - Scholarships are given to active student members of the PTSA based on an overall commitment to service, community and leadership in addition to scholastics and other criteria. Senior parents may not be on this committee.
TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM - Chair and committee will review potential projects that enhance the current curriculum and student development, and cannot  be part of the current school budget. In general, funds will be used for start-up, pilot projects or special events on a one-time basis.
 
PROJECT GRADUATION - Co-Chairs are needed for this alcohol & drug free celebration open to all graduating senior.  Many hands needed to assist Chair with prizes, giveaways, registrations etc.
 
GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT – Chair needed  to work with printer and pre-sell graduation announcements to senior parents.
 
NEWSLETTER - Chair needed to compile and distribute information to general membership via email and print copies to school staff on a monthly or quarterly basis as the need dictates.  Reporter and/or Co-Chair needed.

STUDENT ADVISORY - Active Student PTSA Members who are responsible for maintaining an on-going dialogue between the PTSA and the general student population.  Committee members needed for all graduating classes.

HISTORIAN
- Chair is responsible for maintaining a scrapbook of newspaper articles, photos and other related press information on events and accomplishments of the current school year.

**All committee members need to attend at least  60% of the regularly scheduled general meetings along with any  committee specific meetings in addition to being an active participant in PTSA events and functions. **
 
LTHS PTSA MISSION STATEMENT:
The Mission of the LTHS PTSA is to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and community,and, a strong advocate for the education and well being of every child.  The Lacey Township High School PTSA makes every reasonable effort to make sure that no student or parent is denied access to programs and membership because of financial hardship.  The LTHS PTSA is comprised of people of all ages and backgrounds who share in the values of honesty, respect and responsibility and focus on programs that build strong youth and a strong community.
